STAR EDUCATION
STAR Education is a charitable 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to offering extended educational, recreational and enrichment programs, to supporting and enhancing school curriculum, and to expanding the cultural base of young people through innovative, quality programs offered by exceptional instructors.
Since 1991, STAR has partnered with Fairburn Ave. Elementary by providing camps and after school programs. Throughout the school year STAR offers two programs after school - STAR Galaxy and STAR Nova.
STAR Galaxy
STAR Galaxy offers a daily dose of scheduled, comprehensive programming from dismissal to 6pm. Each afternoon, Galaxy students receive academic assistance, varying enrichment classes, fitness and recreation programs, and engaging activities. Designed by the Fairburn STAR staff, Galaxy programming includes a variety of disciplines such as STEAM, dance, art, dance, theater, sports, culinary arts, martial arts, team building - to name a few. From social development to academic achievement, Galaxy provides students with fun-filled afternoons that create childhood memories to cherish.
STAR Nova
STAR Nova provides individual enrichment classes that take place once a week, over the course of a 6-8 week Nova session. Offering four sessions throughout the year, Nova offers an individualized experience tailored to the specific needs and interests of each student. The wide range of Nova classes includes such offerings as musical theater, gymnastics, media arts, hip-hop dance, soccer, culinary arts and more!
